How do I switch to a new blood pressure data source?

I have a blood pressure monitor from iHealth. About 6 months ago they released a new version of the app which interfaces with the device. They kept the old version as "legacy" and both versions are currently available in the App Store. How do I get Health to switch to the new version of the iHealth app? I have deleted the old version from my iPhone and installed the new one. When I go into Summary->Blood Pressure->Data Sources & Access it shows the old version as the data source. How do I change that to the new version? In Profile->Privacy->Apps the new version is there and the old one is gone and it's authorized to write systolic and diastolic pressures as well as heart rate. What am I missing?

Hi there Rich_in_NFPA,

We see you have a question about some sources for data in the Health app. To confirm, you no longer have the older version of the app on your iPhone, but don't see the new version as an option, correct? Generally, the steps below would be your best path to Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch:

"Add information from other apps

  1. Open the Health app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the upper-right corner
  3. Under Privacy, tap Apps. You can see apps that you already own that are compatible with Health. If you don't see an app, it might not be compatible.
  4. Tap an app and turn on the health categories that you want that app to track.

You might also need to open the app and adjust its settings to allow it to share data with Health."

Based on the above, if you haven't already, check within the app itself to see if you might need to adjust anything there. If everything checks out, you might want to check with the developer to see if they can make any suggestions from their end: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support
