Apple Watch battery drain after Update
I noticed my Apple Watch battery draining very quickly after updating it to 9.5.1. Anyone else? My battery usually lasts 2 days.

Most people are seeing better battery life after 9.5.1. Did you restart your watch, after updating it? If no, restart your watch. Then give it a couple days as after any OS update, your watch has to reindex all of its data, which depending on how much memory you're using, can take a couple days.
18 hours is specified by Apple for normal use on all Watches except Ultra, and is to be expected.
2-3 days is a freak battery life and goes against the advice to charge every day.

I used to get over 2 days. I could wear it into the 3rd day charge it mid day. After the last 2 updates I only get maybe 7 hours. Gat is a huge difference. With those 7 hours I am not even using it. No messages, no mail, not using my maps, not talking on it. Just the clock when I look at it. What is running in the background now that wasn’t befor?
It would be nice if you acknowledged your fix does not work for many people, as it does not. This is an issue countless Apple Watch users are experiencing and you’re treating it as something that is an easy fix.
your solution too often does not solve the problem and is a lot of work when this is clearly a bug, as it’s not just from a bad update, something very few people have experienced in all their time owning an Apple Watch.
I have had one since the series 1 and I’ve never on any of my watches experienced battery drain like this update has caused.
It is not a “fix”, it is a series of stages ending in a vanilla reset iphone paired to a vanilla paired watch. I that fails then the watch has a hardware fault.
I bet if I asked you what your % drop was overnight in the test, and what effect the three scenarios had you could not answer. Many times my method is trashed, the people doing the trashing did not go through the stages to the end.
Advice is given free, try it or not, its up to you, but keep your opinions to yourself
Sheesh i tried sending my feedback but the watch os 9.5.1 isnt even on the selection of OS Pointless
You're welcome and I'm glad this very simple process restored normal battery life to you!

Unwise. Updates are for your own security.
Mine got better. Battery was really bad since 9.2 os. Now is finally back to normal.
Are you still running OS10 beta? As it cannot be uninstalled I suspect you are, in which case please don't use this forum. Thank you.
After updating to Apple Watch 9.5.2, my battery went from 100% to 10% in about 8 hours. Never happened on previous updates. I want 9.5.1 back.
Before first posting here (and before 9.5.1 was out), I had filed a ticket to Apple. No answer so far.
Yes same issue with my Apple Watch Series 3 after update 8.8.1
Did the update on Sunday. By the end of the day Monday and Tuesday I’m down to 10%. This is before 4pm.
Yes. Mine goes from 100% to 10% in 3 hours, five or take a half hour.
