I have a shared album with family members that I use to share images of my daughter that everyone can view and comment on. Is that going away, too? If so, what options do I have? It has hundreds of images on it, and 20+ people are subscribed to it.

There have been no announced changes to how Shared Albums work. There is no reason to change how you are using them.
