Bug in watchOS 9.5.1 Draining Battery

Anyone else having battery-drain issues after installing watchOS 9.5.1 (on Series 8 watch)? Mine will not last 16 hours even with just about all notifications turned off.

Can I retro to the previous OS until Apple figures out a fix or a working new watchOS?

Once you update an Apple device, there is no legitimate way to revert to a previous iOS or watchOS. If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

WatchOS 7.5 battery drain - Apple Community

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
