iTunes & iCloud for Windows - Verification Failed - This action could not be completed. Try again

This has appeared for both iTunes & iCloud for the final Windows 10 built 2H22.

Opening iTunes began displaying an error 'A duplicate file name was specified'; all iTunes components were them removed from the computer with the uninstall tool. The error persists upon a fresh install directly from the Microsoft Store.

After uninstalling both iTunes & iCloud for Windows - I am now unable to sign in. Every sign in attempt is met with the error message 'Verification Failed This action could not be completed. Try again.'

This error message persists after a direct uninstall and reinstall of the program from the Microsoft Store in addition to the current iTunes download directly from Apple server and a restart of the host machine after each time.

The credentials used are correct; entering a wrong password shows an error which indicates that is the issue.

The iCloud settings display the computer as being recognized. iCloud worked fine before an uninstall.
