Touch ID & passcode button disappeared

The touch ID and passcode button has disappeared on my iPhone 8. I did not block changes beforehand. This has occurred after an iOS 16.5 update.

What touch ID & passcode button? Do you mean in Settings? Go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/Passcode Changes and switch the setting to Allow.

Lawrence- Thank you! The button reappeared after I followed your advice!!! I never would have figured that out.?Thank you so much.

I’ve noticed that the setting sometimes get messed up after you download an update. Ugh.Mary Ann

Lawrence I’m so grateful for your help. I’ve literally been trying to figure this out for months to no avail just being scared to be outside hoping I don’t lose my phone. I truly truly appreciate your guidance to figure it out.

Yes, it’s the button in settings so I can redo my fingerprint or change my passcode; it’s gone!
