It is impossible to increase the amount of RAM or internal storage in your iPad - as this is fixed during manufacture; what you have is fixed for the life of your device.

If your internal storage is full, your only option is to better manage the storage that you have - and delete unused Apps or unneeded data.  While recognising that some older models of iPad with very old versions of iOS may be limited in available options, some of these support pages should prove to be helpful:

“Offloading” Apps can be a helpful method of creating temporary space for a software update.

External storage options can often help with managing limited internal storage. Depending upon your iPad model, the iPad will either have a Lightning or USB-C port - and may therefore require either an Adapter or USB hub to connect the USB Storage device. If your iPad has a Lightning port, you’ll need an Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter:

I just wanted to let you know that you help someone else me. Your answer was very detailed and very helpful especially with the links included.

Unfortunately when I came searching for answers I did not get one I enjoyed. What a downfall for the Apple iPad. As a device they are great. This is a downfall, I see I am not the only one in this position. The world keeps turning, clock keeps ticking, life does go on.

I just wanted to again acknowledge that, I really appreciate your detailed answer. Thank you very much I hope you have a wonderful life.
