Brother 3 in 1 printer MFCJ875DW Doesn't print

Although I put new ink cartridges and the ink level is shown, it moves the white unprinted page in the tray. It is connected to my old iMac 2.2 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, 250 MB DRIVE MAC OS LION 10.7.4? The Brother printer software works fine. I checked also the printer queue.

Nothing wrong. Can I connect my Galaxy star J7 to the usb port so I can try to print directly??

Earlier Mac models

Hi,

First of all, what happens if you try to print a Print Quality Check Sheet (https://download.brother.com/welcome/doc100056/cv_mfc870dw_use_busr_lel332001_a.pdf page 84) or a report (https://download.brother.com/welcome/doc100069/cv_mfc870dw_use_ausr_a.pdf page 41) directly from the printer (without a connected computer)?

The Brother MFC-J875DW is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting Apple's driverless AirPrint technology. This should mean that the model in question can be used without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). However, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion was the first supported AirPrint operating system, so it may or may not work in this very case.

Drivers for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion can be found at https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfcj875dw_us&os=108, which I guess that you are using right now.

It appears to be possible to use an Android phone via Brother iPrint&Scan (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brother.mfc.brprint) and a network connection. I do not know whether a USB connection from the phone that you mentioned, somehow, would work.
