microphone is noisy/ disappears on phone ok on whatsapp

1. Remove any screen protectors, films, or cases from your iPhone.

To confirm, does this seem to be an issue when you are making voice calls as well as FaceTime audio or video calls?

If you have not already, please check for and install any carrier updates for your device: Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad.
