Can I get my pictures if someone stole my iPhone?

Someone stole my phone and I don't know if I had my device backed up properly. Can we turn that feature on remotely, when the person connects the phone over wifi?

stolen phone, no pictures appear on the cloud Someone stole my Iphone 12 and in trying to recover the pictures from the cloud, they are not there. I am sure my phone was backed up at some point but no photos appear. The only photos that show up are those of my husband who is much less tech savy than I. Is there any way to recover the photos? I went to two different Verizon stores and they told me I was out of luck if they were not there on the cloud. Can anyone help? Ideas to try?

Sorry, but no, you can't. You can go to www.icloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID and Password and see if you were syncing your photos with iCloud.
