Watch Batter Drain 9.5.1

Since this update installed on my Nike Series 7 (GPS + Cellular) 45 mm my battery life has been horrible. I leave for work with a full charge and come home after an 8 hour shift have to charge immediately. I checked the batter health and it’s 87%. Only had issues in the few days since the 9.5.1 OS update installed on my watch

If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

WatchOS 7.5 battery drain - Apple Community

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.

My S7 has the same issue. I always charge it to 100% before bed and wear it at sleep. Before the update, I usually can get at least 85% battery remaining so I don't need to recharge it the whole day before nec bed time. Now it is only 70% and cannot last a day. It is only 10% less at around 18:00. This is not expected. Hope Apple can fix it asap.

Yes, I am having exactly the same problem.

I Charge and put on before bed but it uses 30% battery over night with sleep monitoring switched off!

I rely on my watch for morning runs and further training in the evening but the battery has usually depleted by 6pm.

Its needs to be sorted Apple. The watch is a premium product and the battery life should be much better than this. Please resolve as soon as possible

Same here, Apple Watch Series 4, and battery life is horrible after updating. Took it off charge less than 2 hours ago, and been wearing it while sitting at my desk working. Already at 85%. Went to sleep at 1:30am last night with 47% remaining. Woke up at 7am and watch was completely dead. It used to warn me if it needed to be charged before bed, it doesn’t even do that anymore. I also do t seem to get the notification to my phone that the watch is fully charged anymore.

I have the 8 and the update caused my battery to drain overnight. I have unpaired it, reset it, and factory restore it, turned off all kinds of apps that I thought would cause this but nothing works. Now while sleeping it goes from 90% or 80% to around 20% or less while I am sleeping yet during the day it runs fine and does not drain. I cannot figure out what is going on with it other than it started after the update.
