Can’t download apps without it saying”Verify Payment method”

Hello! so basically I’ve been trying to download apps on on the App Store and it keeps saying “Verify Payment Method”. I’m not really sure how to do that. And also I’ve been trying to cancel a subscription before it expires and I’m guessing in order to do that I have to pay for the subscription then cancel it in order to download apps? Maybe the subscription that I want to cancel has something to do with me not being able to get apps It’s been like this for about 2 months..? Also it’s saying my payment method is failed but I only have 1 card. This is really aggravating so I’m not really sure what to do!

You usually need a payment method -

You usually need to have added a valid payment method to your account. Even to re-download or update apps and for free apps. You can find the acceptable payment methods for your country here;


Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID - Apple Support


If your payment method failed, you won't be able to use the account until you provide a valid, functioning payment method.


You need to cancel a trial subscription the day before the trial period ends. You will mess your account up further if you default paying a subscription because you have a nonfunctioning payment method.


Managing auto-renewing subscriptions -

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support
