Can't download Twitter on iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 16

About half a year ago Twitter app deleted itself off my phone when I restarted it, I don't know why. And every time I try to reinstall, it just won't.


I've tried everything, I've contacted apple support several times, I can't get in touch with Twitter support and I'm just at a loss

Hi! I’d consider myself to be an avid Twitter user, and I must say - their support HAS gotten a lot better/faster since Musk acquisition. If you haven’t tried reaching out on a while I’d try one more time. As a matter of fact - I just reached out to them a few days ago, and they responded in less than 24 hours. The only time it takes them long is weekends.


Now, I see that you said you’re on iOS 16? Are you on the latest version of iOS 16, or just plain iOS 16? That could potentially be the issue. I’m on iOS 16.5 and it works fine.


Another potential reason for your issue could be your region.


What happens when you try to reinstall the app? Is there no error?

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am on iOS 16.2

I did message Twitter support about the issue a while ago and they said they would get back to me but I've heard nothing.


I don't believe Twitter is blocked in Saudi Arabia, everyone around me from friends to family seem to have no issue with the app.


it will not let me reinstall, there is no error that I can immediately tell, but when I try to install I see the loading ring before it goes back to the 'get' or the cloud icon regardless of how many times I press it.


I've switched apple accounts, I've tried to delete and reinstall other apps with no issue, I can download new apps with no issue either.

If you haven’t already, possibly Erasing All Content and Settings MAY fix your issue. You can do this by going to Settings > Transfer or Reset this iPhone


If you’ve already reset your iPhone, or it is not in your best interest to reset the content and settings, then do not do it. If you do reset, make sure to back up your phone!
