An optional level of warranty coverage sometimes available,
sold separately; could cover limited accidental damages for
separate fee; where available, & requires inquiry to acquire.
For a variety of products, this is called AppleCare+ (plus)
• AppleCare Products - iPad - Apple
//www.apple.com/support/products/ipad/
Other Apple products offer this additional optional care level.
For each product, coverage may vary to offer additional care.

Apple doesn't really do screen replacements. Or any kind of hardware repair for iPads. At least not the way that people normally think of repairing a device and returning the device to the user. Not even for batteries other than specific models. Everything is done either with a "replacement device" which will have a model number starting with an N. It can be done as a warranty exchange, an "other damage" exchange, or a battery replacement service exchange (will require everything to be in good working and cosmetic condition). For any kind of accidental screen damage, absent AppleCare+, it will be the "other damage" service.
But if it was damaged by accident, then no the warranty doesn't cover that. There might be rare cases where there's spontaneous damage to the glass from manufacturing defects. That's very hard to prove though.
Hi Maria, Typically, your device is covered by a one-year warranty against factory defects. However, this warranty may not cover user error, water damage or physical damage. I hope everything is okay.
Thanks
