How can I check to see if all of my current software is compatible with the new M2?

If you are still on Mojave or earlier, you can check for any 32-bit software that is not supported on subsequent operating systems by using the free third-party Go64 application.


If you are on Catalina or later, check each third-party vendor site for version updates that are stated to be macOS Ventura compatible. That includes printer/scanner vendors where the device is not supported in Apple's AirPrint.


Some vendors will offer a Universal2 binary which means it should work on Intel or Apple Silicon (incuding M2) hardware. A 64-bit Intel compiled application may be supported by Apple's Rosetta2 tool, which you would be prompted to install if attempting to run said application for the first time.

There after - perhaps One of the Contributors, presently on this your question, will have a look and offer constructive advise, based upon their experience, as to what may or may not be compatible with Ventura ?
