Sounds like it has taken in water. If forced restart will not wake it up I suggest to take it to Apple Store.
Water ingress is not covered by Apple's warranty unless you have AppleCare+
Forced restart -,press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
