How to uncensor movies on apple tv

Where did you rent it from? Apple’s iTunes Store, or some other streaming service? In which country?

Censored movies doesn’t sound like something that the Apple’s iTunes Store would do. That would just have age restrictions, not giving access to such content at all, for accounts that shouldn’t get that access based on linked date of birth.

A supplying studio could be persuaded by local regulations to bring pre-censored content, though, depending on country. That’s usually a different edit, a different video offered.

I think there may not be methods to “uncensor” content. Your rented product is offered “as-is”.

Nonsense. I bought season 4 of It's always sunny in Philadelphia probably ten years ago on iTunes. Now all of a sudden curse words are silenced out. Apple is censoring content I already own without asking my permission. I view that as theft.

I bought 4 seasons of Broad City and only season 4 is uncensored... it's ridiculous! This is my comfort show which I watch for the familiarity, and now it's unfamiliar and annoying and just wrong. As if there's no way of giving us the option or changing it. Ridiculous and I want a refund tbh.
