I have a macPro which I have to carry office all the time. I have iMac in office. Can I have same profile on the both devices so that I can use iMac on office and keep laptop home?
I am not sure if it can work with software installed or not? I am a developer so I am referring to intelliJ IDE.

Following tip could help your question.
You can do this by opening System Preferences on both Macs, selecting iCloud, and entering the same Apple ID and password on both devices. Once both Macs are signed in to the same iCloud account, you can enable iCloud Drive syncing on each device.
FWIW, assuming both Macs are running a version of macOS that are compatible with intelliJ IDE, yes.
