ZOOM heats up my Mac

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro. When I use ZOOM, it heats up. Anything I can do? (besides getting a new Mac?)

The Zoom app keeps crashing on my MacBook. I've been using Zoom for years; this just started recently with no changes to my hardware config. I am using Zoom Version: 5.15.7 (21404) on my MacBook pro running Mac OS 13.4.1 (c) (22F770820d). I am using the Mac camera and audio. Within a one hour call with a colleague, the Zoom app crashed 5 times. We are not doing screen sharing, using EarPods or headphones. We're just talking. Can anyone help? I have an open ticket with Zoom now for almost 4 weeks and cannot get a Zoom technical person to respond.

Memory issue when running Zoom on iMac running Ventura I have an iMac with an i7 Intel chip, 64 GB of RAM, and OS Ventura (13.6.5). For the past couple of months I've been having what appears to be a memory issue when running Zoom. Zoom becomes only partially responsive and everything else I'm running slows down significantly. I have to either close everything else that's running or leave the meeting and come back. I've done a hardware check and the RAM and chip are fine. Internet connection is fine. I also have a MacBook Pro (M1 Pro chip, 32 GB RAM), OS Sonoma 14.3.1 and am not having any issues with Zoom. I think the issue with the iMac might be the OS – has anyone else had a problem like this? If you have, is there a fix other than shutting everything else down? Thanks! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Video conferencing like Zoom—yes will always heat up your Mac. If the Mac was too hot it would shut itself down, if that has not happened then you are fine, I would not worry about it.
