Specs for a 13" MacBook Pro M2 Purchased in 2022

Mac n00b here:

I have a 13" MacBook Pro M2 Purchased in 2022 that lives in a far away office. I want to verify the ports but I cannot find a specsheet specific to MacBooks built in 2022. I assume that, the specs on this page: MacBook Pro 13-inch - Tech Specs - Apple, are going to be the same as the one I'm looking at? Seems that Mac doesn't fiddle with this kind of thing very much.

If my assumtion is correct, then I ought to be able to use a single Ultrawide monitor that has a resolution of no more than 11520x6480, correct?

Yes, those are your specs.

one external display up to "6K".

Maximum nominal Resolution: 6016 by 3384 pixels, Not what you wrote

using HDMI to get there will be near impossible.

the resolution of that LG ultra-wide is like a 4K display, where the bottom half has been omitted. Because of the display data timing, it requires you to follow all the rules for 4K displays.

The cable you mentioned will be trouble-free, and work for a very long time.

If you decide to use 'only' a USB-C cable instead, it needs to meets the USB-C specs I mentioned above, and be under one meter.

Apple re-arranged the furniture when the M3 MacBook Pro was introduced.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, M2, 2022) - Technical Specifications

Battery and Power

  • Up to 20 hours Apple TV app movie playback
  • Up to 17 hours wireless web
  • 58.2-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery
  • 67W USB-C Power Adapter

The potential risk is that if the display provides LESS power than its nominal power, you may fall short.

Your computer performs best when connected to AC power. It can use the full output of the Power Adapter AND when doing especially challenging work will also freely "borrow" power from the battery. In some cases, even with the power adapter connected, the charged state may decline during stressful work.
