Hi yossef144,

If you're trying to create a bootable installer, surround the mount path in quotes. This is especially important if your flash drive has a space in its name.

Or, follow these steps to create a bootable installer:

  1. Download macOS: How to download macOS - Apple Support (CA)
  2. Open a Terminal window.
  3. Connect a 16 GB flash drive that you're willing to erase.
  4. In Terminal, type "sudo" and add a space. Don't hit Enter (Return) yet.
  5. In Finder, right-click or Control-click on the macOS installer, then choose Show Package Contents. Then, go inside Contents -> Resources.
  6. Drag the "createinstallmedia" file into the Terminal window. This should auto-fill the right path.
  7. Add a space in Terminal, then type "--volume" and add another space.
  8. Drag the flash drive icon from the desktop or Finder sidebar into the Terminal window. This should auto-fill the right path.
  9. Hit Enter (Return) in Terminal, then provide your administrator password when prompted.
  10. If successful, press "y" and hit Enter (Return) to confirm that the flash drive should be erased.

If this wasn't what you were looking for, please let me know.

The Full Version of Monterey Must in located in the Application Folder for the command to function

Have used this specific Terminal command successfully to create Bootable Installers of Monterey

User wrote " sudo: /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Monterey.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia: command not found " It is missing the Destination in your command

My Command

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Monterey.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled

Where the Untitled in above command is the name I gave to the USB 16 GB Pendrive
