iPhone 14 car Bluetooth problems

I have upgraded to the iPhone 14 and each time I make a call or receive a call when driving, the person on the other end is unable to hear me very well. They say it’s like I have no phone signal and can only hear me every few seconds. They cannot make out anything I am saying. I didn’t have any issues with my old phone and my sons phone and husbands phone work absolutely fine. They are all on older devices. I have tried deleting and reconnecting my phone, restoring it and doing a soft reset. Any ideas or is anyone else having the same issue??

I was having the same issue since late last year. I eventually found this Mic Mode setting by accident that seems to only appear when on a call. When I changed it from Voice Isolation to Standard, the issue went away and has not returned. This was also happening on my bluetooth headset.

Hope this helps.

Hello Ladystevo85,

There are some basic troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue. To get started, we recommend making sure your iPhone is up to date.

  1. You can learn how to update your iPhone here: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  2. Toggle Bluetooth off and back on in Settings.
  3. Restart both devices
