iPod nano
I have iPod nano (I think it's a2nd generation) that has music on it that I would like to put on my computer or present phone. Is there a way to transfer the all the files (music and podcast) on to my MacBook Pro or present iPhone ?

To add to what Lissy_12 has mentioned, since the only way to add music to an iPod nano has been to use iTunes (or Finder on later MacOS), the music should still be in your iTunes library on your computer.
Do you still have the computer that you used originally to add the music to the iPod? If so, use that. If you removed iTunes, the music will still be on your computer, probably in the Music Folder. If you no longer have that computer, did you ever back up your music onto another drive? If so, use that.
If you do not have a backup, you can either buy an programme that will recover the music from the iPod so that you can use it again, or go back to your original source:

Hi jojemo2000,
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! You can sync content from your computer to your iPod using iTunes or Finder, however, you cannot sync content such as music from your iPod to your computer or to another device. For example if you're using a Mac there would be no other way to sync content to your iPod nano as listed below:
Intro to syncing your Mac and your devices
If you have iPod classic, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle: You have to sync your device with your Mac. There’s no other way to add content to it.
Hope this helps!
Have a great day.
