Apple Mail says "load content directly"

Recently I have been receiving emails with a note in the upper right that says "load content directly" and I click on it and it loads pictures/drawings from that sender. This has only done it for the past few weeks and it is becoming annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

In Mail > Preferences/Settings, click the "Viewing" tab:

If the section I highlighted is NOT checked, you get the message you cite. It is there to help with receiving mail on slow internet connections or on devices with limited storage.
