Does anyone have tapping sound

I have the SE version of the iPhone

I don’t have keyboard feedback on;

I have haptics on for both ring and silent modes.

I have seen similar questions: a clunking sound coming from the iPhone.

I hear a tapping sound at approximately once per second or so and only while talking to someone,.

I used to think that person was tapping a pencil on the table or something but now it happens with nearly everyone.

Any ideas? Anyone?

If you're hearing a tapping sound on your iPhone and you're not actively performing any actions that would produce such a sound, it could be due to a few different reasons. Here are a few possibilities to consider:

  1. Check if you have any notifications enabled that might produce a tapping sound. Go to "Settings" > "Sounds & Haptics" and review the settings for your various notifications, such as messages, emails, or social media apps. You can adjust the sound or disable it altogether.
  2. The tapping sound could be the result of keyboard clicks. Some users prefer having audible feedback when typing on their iPhone. You can disable keyboard sounds by going to "Settings" > "Sounds & Haptics" > "Keyboard Clicks" and toggling it off.
  3. It's possible that a specific app you have installed on your iPhone is generating the tapping sound. Review the apps you have installed and check their individual settings for any options related to sound effects or notifications.
