Apple TV App is not showing any content

my apple TV app on iPhone and on MacBook doesn't show any content. i have tried everything like resetting and re-installing app but nothing works. Also, when I try to sign in on the apple tv website by using my apple id it keeps asking for the password again and again and then shows me the error message "something didn't work..please try later".

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities Twisted-Soul,

If you haven't yet, the first steps that should be taken are to Update your iPhone or iPad and Update macOS on Mac.

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

For your Mac, use these steps:

Use Software Update

Before installing new software, it's a good idea to back up your Mac.
To check for new software, open Software Update. It's in System Settings (or System Preferences), which you can open from the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen:
* Choose Apple menu  > System Settings. Click General on the left side of the System Settings window, then click Software Update on the right.
* Or choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Software Update.
If Software Update finds new software, click the button to install it, then enter your administrator password when prompted. During installation, your Mac might show a progress bar or blank screen several times, and you should avoid putting it to sleep or closing its lid.

Cheers!

Hello,

Just two days ago today 8/26/2023, I have an apple tv box and when I go into apple tv app, it displayed 1: my family members accounts (missing my movies and tv shows) or 2: It would just get stuck in the spinning loading wheel. and 3: Got a message "You have not purchased any TV Shows or Movies from the store".

I have contact apple support ten times and one person said that I needed to send my apple tv box in so that apple support can load a new OS onto it. Today, I bought a new apple tv and ran into the same issue.

Resolution that i have not found out there but wanted to provide you that it can be helpful as it has resolved this issue on both apple tv boxes of mine.

On apple TV box iOS TV 16.6+

Settings>Apps>TV: 1: Clear Search History, 2: Clear Play History.

Then Next,

Settings>Users and Accounts: Select your apple ID, mine was listed as default user>remove user from apple TV

For me, I went into the iTunes>Accounts>View My Account: Look for "Account Access" and select the "Manage". From there, I saw Apple TV+ and select "Sign Out"

After all that, I went back into Setting>Users and Accounts>select default user and signed in.

Then, I closed the apple tv app about once or twice, then all my TV Shows and Movies showed up again for me. This has worked on both apple tv boxes.

Is that what you are having problems with?
