You can only mitigate your exposure by protecting to Whom you reveal your e-mail address
Yes, there are some Big Software Companies that have had Security Breaches and your e-mail address has been exposed to the Bad Actor Spammers
I have even experienced a Security Beach from my own ISP - not good
A feature built into Ventura Mail Application as a Starter
Then, depending on your e-mail server - some allow Blocking Sender including Domain Names from within their Web Portal
This could Stop the Spammers e-mail from ever reaching your Inbox
Block or unblock senders in Mail on Mac - Apple Support (CA)
Edge is chromium based, so may work with the apps.
If Chrome is required, that's what you should install and use.
No idea what your spam comment has to do with it.
Just to add.....Vivaldi is (yet another) chromium based browser. I've used it for a couple years now with no issues.
