using two macs one as a external monitor

Is there a specific setting to connect 2 Mackbooks (I've managed to connect the magic mouse to both), I am trying to move files, web pages, and other documents from "monitor" to monitor.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.4

The Mac is a special-purpose computing system. it is NOT a display and it does not have any display INPUTS of any description.


There is no mechanism for using one Mac as an additional display on another Mac.


There is a mechanism for Viewing the display of one Mac in a window on another Mac, in less that real-time (so no full-motion Video). it is set up in


system preferences > Sharing > screen sharing
