Remove album artwork from Apple Music sync

I synced my music library with the Apple Music store to get album artwork for the music in my library I have added on my own and didn't have artwork for. I want to remove the artwork it has added or undo the sync because the artwork it has added for 90% of the songs are generic album art such as "Hits of 90s", "Power Workout" and even Now album covers.

How can I remove the artwork?

No amount of retrying fixes the issue. I've had to restore from a backup to wipe all the downloaded artwork. I'm using Music version 1.2.5.7.

Removing artwork for imported mp3 files I have imported an mp3 file from garageband to the music app and it continues to automatically add artwork to the song. I have tried deleting the artwork but it immediately shows up again no matter how many times I try. I also have the "automatically update album artwork" option turned off and it still does this. Any suggestions?
