I have downloaded a song on ITunes, but it still does not show up in my choices for ringtones, even if I press redownload

I went to iTunes, downloaded a song, but it still doesn’t show in my choices for ringtones, please help me fix this

You cannot use songs directly for ringtones. You must convert a copy of the song to the ringtone format. See:
