I’m interested in transferring voice memos I’ve made on my Mac, not my phone, to Apple Music so I can then transfer it onto an audio disc. Can someone help me with this process? I’m not sure yet how to get these audio files created in voice memo into Music…

Memos created in the Voice Memos app on the Mac are stored away in the Recordings folder, at the path shown below. The audio files (at least on my Mac) are in AAC 128 kbps format, so you can make a copy of the files you want and add them to your Music library without conversion. Once they are in your library, put them in a playlist and they should burn to CD the usual way:

I'm afraid Apple Music can not import m4a files. I tried using the steps in the link you provided, but it doesn't work. If someone knows of a better program than Music that I can use to convert an audio file and burn it to a disc that's free let me know.
Thanks for the tip on the location of Voice Memos files. Unfortunately the naming conventions used and the dates mentioned in the Recordings folder don't match up with those in Voice Memos. For example "20190621 072654-D18A0E74" doesn't match anything in my Voice Memos collection.

Based on the date field in the first 8 digits, that would be a memo made on June 21, 2019. Not sure how many memos you have, but based on the date and playing back a little for context, you can probably find the ones you want.
I'm not sure it will work, but try the steps in:
