I understand using the lighting to usb wired connection will allow better quality Apple Music audio playback, but is it possible to achieve the same, or better, audio quality playback using a Wi-Fi Carplay AVR to iPhone connection?

Looking at this Apple resource Listen to lossless music on iPhone - Apple Support, CD quality is 16-bit/44.1 kHz and to listen to songs at sample rates higher than 48 kHz on iPhone, you need an external digital-to-analog converter, so 48 kHz would be the best quality you could get while using wireless CarPlay.

As far as if a wired Lightning to USB port in your car would work, looking here About lossless audio in Apple Music - Apple Support this could hypothetically work, but for the final answer, you would need to reach out to the maker of your car stereo and see if they support lossless with their stereo.

Thank you. Since Wi-Fi will not, the only way to playback using the lossless quality is by using the Apple lightning to 3.5mm connection?
Will using the lightning port to USB A port on my audio receiver, which has a built-in DAC & Carplay, allow lossless audio playback?
