How to set the default email adress when creating a new email?

1. It May send or not send and leave it in outbox if you have no Internet connection.

What I am looking for (sorry for being unclear) is to change what is by default set under the red bar (now green)

You are looking for your own default email adress?

If you click in the From field, a number of suggestions will appear as from which email address you want to send.

Depending on how many email addresses you have.

Then choose your default email addres.

Default address you're sending to? Do you only send emails to one person? Or, is the question your asking really, "If I have a contact with more than one email address, how do I designate one as the preferred address?" If that's the case, I don't believe you can do that on an iPhone.

Is this your contact information? Or someone else's? Is this for sending email to yourself? Again, I don't think there's a way to designate a default email address for a contact. The only workaround I can think of is to move the other two email addresses to the notes field in that contact. Or, create a second contact for the other email addresses with a somewhat different name.

Also, the from address auto-selection is based on where you are choosing the new mail option. See the pic below which is self-explanatory. This is valid for iPad and iPhones too.

Then it's hiding under that red bar.

Then you would first have to decide for yourself which default email address you want to use when sending an email.
