How to set the default email adress when creating a new email?

Hi yall,

how can I control which account is displayed in Outlook as the "suggested" adress to send from?

There is no choice in "Settings > Mail > Default Account".

Changing the default "from" email address when composing a new email in iOS 16.5 I have 5 different email addresses in Apple Mail (on iPad), all of them are IMAP except one old POP address. I have set my AppleID to be one of the new IMAP addresses and done everything possible to try to make the old POP address the lowest priority (it used to be my previous AppleID) and yet every time I start a new email (if I have "all inboxes" selected) it has the old POP email as the default "from" address rather than any of the IMAP ones set as a higher priority. iOS 16.5 doesn't seem to have a "set as default" option in settings anymore, what on earth do I need to do?

Setting default email address with custom domain in iOS Hi All, I set up a custom domain just fine, and when (on my Mac) it asked which default email it should use (iCloud email or custom domain email) I chose custom and everything works fine. On my iOS devices (iPhone and iPad), when I initiate the sending of an email, it defaults to my iCloud email address, and not my custom domain (which technically are both iCloud addresses). How do I change that default so I don't have to change the sender on every email? I've searched here and Googled but with no luck.

Thanks, but I am talking about Outlook for iOS, not the Apple mail app.

Thanks, I can so too but that only changes which email account is used to send "From". I am looking to change what is automatically suggested for the "To:" field:

Unless you are sending email TO yourself, the default mail setting I described above should do what you want. Your preferred email address will appear in the FROM field, as it should.

You were very clear. They just don’t know how to read. You said, “from”, NOT “To”, but apparently, they assumed you meant “To”.
