I deleted/removed airpods from Find My and Bluetooth and apple online, but the new AirPod user is still getting pop ups about my account when using them?

I’ve done everything — removed them from Bluetooth, from Find My, and even on the Apple ID website. Is it because I removed/delete them while the airpods weren’t in range? Will this resolve on its own?

Hello emmamayor1114,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you sold your AirPods and the new owner says your Apple ID still pops up. To help with this, please make sure you have followed the steps recommended by Apple here Before you sell, give away, return, or recycle your AirPods - Apple Support:

"Remove AirPods from your Apple ID on iPhone or iPad
1. Open the Find My app.
2. Select the Devices tab, tap your AirPods, then swipe up.
3. Tap Remove This Device, then tap Remove to confirm."

If you followed those steps and the person that has the AirPods now say they still get notifications, please contact Apple directly: Get Support

Cheers!
