Why have I been charged $ 9.99 for a streaming subscription I never agreed to?

I am unhappy with my Apple TV. I now wish I had not purchased the device. And I am not happy with Apple. Apple TV is merely a store front conduit for Apple to sell streaming subscriptions; including third party streaming subscriptions (ex: Paramount+). Are you aware that when you "try" a "free" subscription form one of these streaming services, they set you up for auto pay at full price once the "free" trial has ended. And Apple is not the only culprit. How many millions of people are paying each month for a subscription service that they never intended to buy and never use? I did not catch that I have been getting charged $ 10 per month for a streaming service that I never agreed to or ever used! And Apple is not taking care of it. Nope. They are only giving me a refund for the last two months. But I have been charged $ 10 per month since January! My Apple TV is now disconnected, and will not be reconnected. My trust with Apple has been broken. Check your bank account. Are you paying for a streaming service that you do use? My guess is yes. This is an Apple that you do not want to take a bite of.

All “free trials” for anything are set up to begin charging unless you cancel before the trial ends. It’s not just Apple that does this. Thousands of other companies do this. A trial is a trial period to try something out. I’m sorry you didn’t understand it. I would suggest you look through your Subscriptions to check you haven’t tried anything else out that needs to be cancelled before it begins charging: If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

it's how free trials works by defacto these days

had the same experience with xbox music and some local streaming service and with amazon prime

so you should probably adjust to how it is these days or prepare to have your trust broken whenever you use free trials in the future.

but of cause you can complain to them using their feedback channels
