I AM UNABLE TO OPEN MOV FILES IN FCPX

For some sudden reason I am unable to open .MOV files into FCP X. FROM 'I' IMPORT when I try to select to files they are greyed out. I have attached a screen grab of the incident. I have had FCP X for many years and it is the first time this has occurred. I have tried many options and tried the ways but it simply does not work. My computer is a Mac mini 16 gig Ram Apple M1 Ventura 13.4 I feel as if I have exhausted all ways of importing the files. as I say I have been using FCP for more than six years.

Can anyone help of advise please?

What type of .mov's are they? Can you tell us their specs with something like MediaInfo? They could be 32bit codecs or something.
