I cannot open the messages on the right side of my Mac macOS Monterey 12.6.6

I am running Monterey 12.6.6 on my Mac and I cannot open the messages on the right side. I have deleted and reinstalled my email accounts, uninstalled Monterey 12.6.6 and reinstalled from Time Machine and still it does not work. I turn off mail and back on an I can read one message and then it disappears. I am not running VPN when this happens. I have been on with Mac support and they couldn't help. Can someone here help me with this problem,

Unless somebody that controls your paycheck insists, uninstall Avast, and Trusteer, then run another etrecheck report to see what their uninstalls left behind.

Delete these files & restart...

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdater.plist

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.microsoft.SyncReporter.plist

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.corel.CorelUpdateHelperTask.agent.plist

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.logitech.manager.daemon.plist

~/Library/LaunchAgents/tv.plex.player-helper.plist

~ tilde indicates your user library folder

Apple hid the Users' Library folders...

Method 1:

1 From the Finder, select the Go menu at top of the screen, and choose Go to Folder.

2 In the window that opens, enter ~/Library, and click Go.

Hello,

We need to see what all is running & machine specs, a report from this will not display any personal info...

EtreCheck is a FREE simple little diagnostic tool to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac. It will not display any personal info.

https://www.etrecheck.com/

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report if you capture the URL while there…

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...

Perhaps a mis-wording but TM Backup does not contain a Full and Functional Version of the Operating System.

That ceased somewhere around macOS 11 Big Sur

If the user really meant they used Transfer to a new Mac with Migration Assistant - Apple Support (CA) and transferred everything back into the Clean Installation.

Issues that may existed when the TM Backup was made, may have been re-introduce back into the computer. This would badly pollute the New and Pristine installation of the OS.

In which case, suggest following Previous Suggestion and run the Etrecheck Report and post the Full Report

Aside - Apple is rather picky about posting Reports of this kind to Third Party Services.

Sometimes they Allow and other times Not.

Below is screen shot from within the Etrecheck Application and used to Share the Report

There maybe additional issues that are picked up on by More Learned Colleague and I will defer to their input.

Problem: Other problem

Description: I am running Monterey 12.6.6 on my Mac and I cannot open the messages on the right side. I have deleted and reinstalled my email accounts, uninstalled Monterey 12.6.6 and reinstalled from Time Machine

Minor Issues:

Q -  SSD too slow - SSD is showing poor performance.

Q - disk0 - ADATA SU800 1.02 TB (Solid State - TRIM: No

A - Check with the Manufacturer of this Drive and see if TRIM is supported  for the SSD drive  If Yes, ask them if it safe to Enable TRIM

I am hesitant to offer the Terminal Command to preform this action, pending Confirmation from the Manufacturer of this Drive that it is supported on that SSD.

Q -  More than one antivirus app - This computer has multiple antivirus apps installed.

Q -   Antivirus software: Apple, Avast, and Trusteer

A - There are no known Windows-like Viruses in the wild that self replicate and affect macOS, because of the underling UNIX  Foundation and Permission Limitation.

Additionally, in macOS 11 Big Sur, macOS 12 Monterey and macOS 13 Ventura.

The Operating System resides in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that can not be opened by the User nor by Third Party Applications.

The only Entity that can open and modify or alter this Volume is Apple.

That would occur when a update or UpGrade is performed.

The Only thing this Antivirus software is protecting is the Bank Account of the Developers and for zero return to the User aside from the problems this software creates.

AntiVirus Developers purposefully Market their product to create a “ Fear Factor “. In so doing, creating a False Need for their Product.

The The Built in Security  is all that is required to protect the computer.

Third Party Security Software

Avast AntiVirus

Trustee

Read some of the posting and arrive at your own conclusions.

Q -  System extensions installed - This computer has system extensions installed. System extensions can be difficult to uninstall.

A - The above is connected to Avast AV Software and Trusteer

Now, there are some Contributors ( not all but some ) who believe trying to remove All Elements of AV Software is akin to dis-arming a Ticking Time Bomb. It could explode at any time . Then, they suggest a more radical approach to remedy this issue - Wipe and Reinstall the OS

I neither endorse this approach nor suggest to the contrary

It All depends on the users choice, comfort levels and skill sets.
