Resetting Macbook Air multiple times.

Hello,

I bought my Macbook Air M1 2020 version a couple of days ago. I am very new to learning the macOS system that's why due to some reason in a span of around 4 -5 days, I have reset my Macbook Air M1 about 4 times to it's factory settings.

My battery health is normal and 100% and showing around 5 -6 charge cycles.

My question is due to my carelessness of formatting my macbook for 4 times, has the battery degraded or has the hardware like my processor, ram, storage or any other piece of hardware degraded or got it's lifespan shorten?

It's in brand new condition right now.

Thank You

Nope. You may have been using it more than would otherwise be considered normal, but that's what Macs are for: to be used.

Batteries are really the only components that wear out with use. There isn't anything anyone can do about that, and they still should last for years.

Storage is write / erase cycle limited, but to completely wear out a Mac's storage is literally unheard of.

So it means that other than battery, none of my hardware components like processor, ram, storage will wear out by multiple reset?

No. Not even the battery for that matter.

Of course if you are doing particularly energy-intensive tasks you may want to connect your Mac's power adapter while you are doing them, but that is more for the sake of convenience than anything else. The Mac will cycle its battery when it needs to anyway, even when it is connected to power.

Has my multiple resets of my macbook caused any trouble to it.

No.

Is my battery OK cuz it is still showing 100% capacity and only 5-6 cycles of charge?

Yes. It's perfectly ok.

Enjoy your Mac.
