I changed my apple password yesterday.

Today it has my device using my account 3 states away from my location. So I changed my password again today. The device location continues to be 3 states away.

iPhone 13 mini, iOS 16

If you are on your home WiFi when this is happening, it's possible that your internet provider's location (or one of them) is what is being shown. That happens. If you know you're the person signing in and you're seeing a notification that the device is somewhere else, it's just a glitch in where the network things you are and nothing to worry about. If, on the other hand, you did not sign into anything and you're getting a notification that someone has, that might be cause for concern:
