Cannot update my Apple watch series 7 to latest WatchOS from my iPhone 7, Do we have any other way around, this is really so tightly coupled, Apple should have alternative way around instead of restricting.

The latest WatchOS version is WatchOS 9.5.1. In order to run that on your Apple Watch, you MUST own an iPhone which can run at least iOS 16 (current version is 16.5), but an iPhone 7 is too old to be updated to iOS 16. Thus you cannot update your watch to the newest WatchOS unless you replace your iPhone with a newer, more modern iPhone.
