Mac OS Dynamic Wallpaper Is Uninstalling Itself

Mac OS seems to be uninstalling the Apple standard wallpaper by itself and storing it in iCloud. It is still available for download in System Settings (System Preferences on older OS), but the OS seems to be eliminating them by itself. Perhaps that would be a measure to take with limited storage available but I have 36 GB free currently, not a lot but one would think enough for a series of desktop images.

This isn't a problem per se. I can download them fine each time. But over time, perhaps a week or two, they get removed from local storage on my Mac.

Has anyone else witnessed this?

What I'm running:

  • MacBook Pro 13-inch (2019)
  • Mac OS Ventura 13.4

What I'm seeing:

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.4
