Is it possible to run an existing "iOS shortcut"?

I know how to convert a HomeKit automation to a "shortcut", but the resulting shortcut is missing many iOS shortcut features such as Intercom.

Hi diegofromburnaby,

Thanks for connecting with us here in Apple Support Communities. You can run home automations from the Home Hub using automation triggers. The articles below address the question you have.

Intro to home automation in Shortcuts on iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Home automation provides a way to run actions in your home based on events such as time of day, people arriving or leaving, or someone controlling an accessory. A normal shortcut requires you to run it from the Shortcuts app, the Shortcuts widget, or the share sheet, whereas home automation actions use various home automation triggers to run from the home hub.

Home automation is synced to your home hub through iCloud. For more information, see the Apple Support article Set up your HomePod, Apple TV, or iPad as a home hub.
