I use CIBC for on-line banking and as of yesterday Safari will not save my bank card numbers, in the past it always has.

Thanks for reaching out colreal99,

It sounds like you're trying to store your bank card information in Safari, but are unable to save the details. We can help.

You can Autofill credit card info in Safari on Mac to store the information and make it accessible by Safari:

Add or remove a stored credit card
1. In the Safari app  on your Mac, choose Safari > Settings, then click AutoFill.
2. Select “Credit cards,” click Edit, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Fill in your credit card info
1. In the Safari app  on your Mac, click in a credit card field when making a purchase.
2. Choose from a list of your stored credit cards.
3. If your Mac or Apple keyboard has Touch ID, you can use Touch ID to fill in the stored information for the selected credit card. To set up Touch ID to use with Safari AutoFill, see Change Touch ID & Password settings.

If a field is empty or showing the wrong type of information, click in the field, then click the credit card icon and choose the correct information (or use the Touch Bar).

Tip: If you use iCloud Keychain to keep information secure on your Mac and other Apple devices, you can use AutoFill to enter previously saved credit card info on all those devices.

Hope that helps.

Take care.

Thank you for your help but it's not credit cards that are the problem, it is bank/debit cards. I can save them to iCloud but the saving includes my passwords which I do not want and it won't allow me to save nick names for the various accounts to identify them. I want to be able to save my bank cards to Safari without saving my passwords as I want to enter the password manually each time. I have been doing this for years then as of last Wednesday it quit working.

Basically I have given up. I spoke to CIBC and explained the problem, they promised to look into it and get back to me which they never did. I'm just living with the issue, i.e. I have multiple accounts, when you enter the first digit of the bank card, all of the accounts pop up so you need a cheat sheet containing the last 3 digits of each account in order to log-in to the one you want.
