Apple Pencil not working

I recently purchased a second generation Apple Pencil and it just stopped working. It’s been more than 3 weeks now. When I place it onto the iPad all it says is Apple Pencil but it doesn’t show the battery percentage and when I go to settings there is no option to connect it to Bluetooth.
