Apple Pencil not working

I recently purchased a second generation Apple Pencil and it just stopped working. It’s been more than 3 weeks now. When I place it onto the iPad all it says is Apple Pencil but it doesn’t show the battery percentage and when I go to settings there is no option to connect it to Bluetooth.

I have left it to charge now for about an hour but the battery percentage of the pencil is stuck at 58%. I've tried updating the Ipad and performing the forced restart and nothing has changed. I'm guessing I have a dead pencil? I noticed a post from a few years ago concerning the same issue with the top reply offering a few tips (all of which i have followed) and stated if these did not work you have a dead apple pencil with no choice but to replace or buy new. Is this still the case?

Apple Pencil won’t charge and be paired with iPad My newly bought Apple Pencil 2 won’t charge nor pair after just two days of using it. I tried restarting and force restarting the iPad, unpairing and pairing, turning the Bluetooth on and off, but the issue still persists. When I connect my Apple Pencil, the below image is what I see. No battery percentage nor the image of the Apple Pencil when first connected to iPad, just “Apple Pencil” text. Kindly help me. Thanks.

Apple Pencil Second Generation I have an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 2nd generation. My pencil is always connected, charged, and used regularly. However, I have noticed when I want to use my pencil is was lagging and connecting and disconnecting frequently. I attacked it back to my ipad to check the percentage and it does not show. I went into my settings and it said it was disconnected, I connected it again and it disconnected not even after two minutes of using it. I checked its battery percentage and it was low. But when I placed it on my ipad to charge it was not charging and now it wont charge or connect to my ipad. I have no idea how to fix this issue.
