Follow the very good advise from @Luis Sequeira1 above.
Rejecting on original question, has you taken Ownership this computer from another person ?
Did the Previous Owner just Delete their Account and gave it or sold it to you ?
If Yes, this is what Should have been done Before you took Ownership of this computer.
What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support (CA)
If it has not been done
1 - Return to the previous Owner and have them perform the above . Otherwise, they could put an Activation Lock on this machine making the computer an Expensive Paperweight
And just in case you have done the procedure described above by P. Phillips but chose not to remove the home folder, and that is what you want to do now: try dragging the folder to the trash. If you are asked for your password, type it as requested. If you are not allowed because you don’t have permission, we can try to guide you through a longer route.
Thanks so much for helping me; however, I have already done the steps you have shown above. Now I have several "Users (deleted)" that I would like to delete from my hard disk to free up a lot of space. So, in essence, I'd like to delete "previously deleted users".
Be well,
Manuel
I called Apple and the automated voice stated are you calling about the same issue re: your MAC OS?, I said yes; however, our family doesn’t own one. The hacker we have had since 9-22-22, does. He even was running it through my Modem and Router I left at my house, while under construction. He is on every device we have, he locked us to “Owner” which he now is… since he changed our original password, prior to locing the phone. Due to Privacy policy. He recently made an I phone unavailable as he changed the password again. I have Express VPN, he placed it in his name on his PC, and phone as it’s my husbands Bfriend of 10 years. Hacked our Amazon, picked food in items at lockers or were caught on video stealing from our EBT cards that’s the government money, not mine, he stole nude photos of my self online and kept them on his computer. He is running Windows 10, 32bit in the background of my HP pavilion Windows 11 64 bit in foreground. It’s abuse!!!! CAN ANYONE HELP?
Did you try dragging these folders to the trash?
Self correction 😔
