iPhone 13 Pro - connected to wifi but no internet

It happens to me too. Apparently nothing changed about my home network, but sometimes at home all devices are connected to the wifi, Internet is ok but only my iPhone 13 Pro, even if connected, cannot browse the web in Safari or email is stuck on checking. No other message. What is strange is that restarting the router or turning wifi off and on sometimes solves the issue, sometimes not. Moreover, sometimes app like TikTok, Instagram or WhatsApp are working while Safari or Mail or Google Maps are stuck. And sometimes everything's back to normal with no intervention. It does not happen with other wifi, for example at my office, so it must be something linked to my home network. I already reset the router to factory settings but nothing changed. All the other devices (including iPad, Mac Sony TV, home pods and more) work smoothy with no prob. I have in mind two things: 1. a possibile IP conflict with a device, such as a lamp 2. Siri shortcuts creating a side effect on wifi connection. As for the first, I tried to set the IP manually but nothing changed.

Hey alex178ita,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. The information below may help with your internet issue.

Since other devices connected to the network doesn't experience the issue, start with making sure the iPhone is up-to-date. The latest version is iOS 16.5 and can be checked in Settings > General > About.

If it isn't up-to-date, follow the steps below to backup your data to ensure it's safe and then update. Updates not only include new features, they also include fixes and security updates.

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

For reference you can review the steps here: Update your iPhone or iPad.

If you continue to experience the issue, review this article on how to resolve Wi-Fi issues caused by wireless interference: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference.

If the issue doesn't appear to be related to wireless interference, reset network settings. Resetting network settings resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and any VPN and APN settings that have been used on the iPhone before. After resetting, you will need to enter the password for previous Wi-Fi networks. To reset, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If steps above doesn't help, we recommend contact your internet service provider to ensure settings are correct. This article lists the recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points. The information may help your internet service provider.

Take care.
