Recents Folder not working when placed in dock.

Hey there - I'm running osx 13.4 on a M2 MBP and when I drag the recents folder into the dock (which I would find very useful) it is non functional. That is when I click or right click or change options it does not open of display anything. It works as normal outside of dock. Any ideas? Also is there a keyboard shortcut for recents folder? That would be even better..

Thanks!

You can see the default shortcuts for Finder from the Go menu

Put it in the sidebar of the Finder>Settings>Sidebar>Recents

Hey all - after much messing around and the recents search/folder still not working when placed in my dock I created two smart folders to mimic recents one for documents, one for folders (see screenshot) and placed them on my dock.

Now something strange happens - they work fine for a day, but overnight (when I'm not using computer and it's just lid closed/logged out not switched off) they seem to stop working. By that I mean the list or fan which displays when you click on the dock icon stops refreshing and stays at what it was the day before even though the smart folder itself refreshes fine when you go in and look at it in finder.

If I then pull them off the dock and then add them again they start working again/refreshing normally.

Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix it?

Thanks for your time!

Alex
