So my screen cracked and I installed a new display. I see that the iPhone says "iPhone unavailable. try again in 8 hours"
However, its been 4 hours since and the it still says "try again in 8 hours". The time on display has not reduced by 4 hours.
Is this something that I should be worried about?

You should be worried if you yourself tried to replace the display. Can you clarify on that please?
Your answer is not helpful since it wants me to erase my iPhone there by deleting everything on it.
I am ready to wait it out. It's just that timer on the lockscreen is not counting down at all. It's stuck on "try again in 8 hours" even when 4 hours have passed by.

Not my phone, my niece cracked her screen and got it repaired at a wireless toys phone repair store.
