How to access Keyboard on Watch SE?

How can I enter my new Apple ID on my Watch SE? I can find the settings and Password field but I can’t get the keyboard to come up. Any suggestions?

Update: I finally figured out that I could draw the letters and numbers of my password so that problem is resolved.But still would love to have a keyboard for text messaging.

Apple Watch SE does not have a keyboard. If you wanted a watch with a keyboard, you would have needed to buy Apple Watch 8 or Apple Watch Ultra. You can download an app from the App Store called FlickType, which will add a keyboard to your Apple Watch SE. Personally, even with my 49mm Apple Watch Ultra, typing on the keyboard is not easy. It would be even less so on the much smaller Apple Watch SE.

Ok, it now is apparent the keyboard is on my screen but the only key I can read is the space and that is very clearly displayed. If I touch a spot on the screen a letter appears but I can’t see the keyboard so I can select the correct letters and numbers for my password.

You gotta be kidding me

use Crown as 'roller' to select letter , one by one (see Audi interface for navigation)

it's Apple being lazy it seems

ps. no keyboard is available on external device in Family mode setup for apple Watch

Thank you, that explained everything. I downloaded FlickType and I see what you mean about the difficulty with tapping the correct letter you need but it works well enough for short messages. Thank you so much.

You're welcome. The screen on Apple Watch SE is just too small to make a keyboard useful. Hence why Apple likely didn't make it available on the SE to begin with.
